Assessment Lab.
Increasingly, teachers are seeking ways to ensure that their students are progressing in their development as a result of the teaching and learning relationship. This environment will be equipped with widely available technologies and systems for creating curriculum-based assessments as well as a repository for assessment strategies that teachers use in their classrooms for gauging student progress.
Additionally, Simmons faculty members will use this space for reflection on practice teaching (video-based) and teaching prospective teachers how to use assessment data to make decisions about the effectiveness of their teaching and for proposing changes to their instructional design that might result in improved outcomes.
